Welcome to POS Saga Turbo, a game made off and on since 2011 by Rick (my friend) and Soap (myself).

I don't know how much context would be needed to properly explain this game, but it's more than I'm willing to write. Just know that this game is a HUGE MESS that could only be made by wandering through the particular neighborhoods of Development Hell that we wandered through. Enjoy! :D

This game contains strong language but is otherwise SFW (a change from older versions).

It's about 15-20 hours long. This paragraph used to have more sentences but I removed them due to being irrelevant.

Most files are encrypted because the terms of use on some of our resources stipulated that we do so. Sorry about that! Any plugins prefixed with POSSaga, Soap4, or Soapr are our own creations. Feel free to take them, edit them, and use them in your own games, though don't expect any support if stuff breaks.

If you like the game, tell your friends. If you don't like the game but still got some laughs out of it, maybe also tell your friends. :)

There is no web-embedded version right now since the game is way over itch.io's 1000-file limit. But I might host it off-site. Let me know if there is demand I suppose.

AI note: it's only used for a really stupid "art gallery" in one section of the game. You'll know it when you see it. The game is otherwise free of AI slop.

Playing on Mac or Linux

RPG Maker MZ has a Mac export option but I didn't bother with it since I don't have the means to test it. If there's enough demand I might do it but I make no promises.

For Linux, the game runs on Wine, but it's pretty laggy in my experience. If you have the same trouble, I recommend using a local version of nwjs rather than running the Game.exe via Wine. After unzipping your nwjs somewhere, put this line into a shell script (adjusting for your own path of course) and execute it to play the game:

/home/YOURUSERNAME/Programs/nwjs-sdk-v0.83.0-linux-x64/nw --url .

This approach can probably be done on Mac as well? Not sure, never used one.

Known Issues

We probably will never fix any of these. Please only report issues to us if they result in game crashes or softlocks. All grammer, and speeling mistakes, in teh game, is intenchsional.

• During a certain boss fight in chapter 4, you can't target some enemies by touching them. You need to select their names in the list. This is due to an overlap with enemies that haven't appeared yet.
• Some battle animations may be laggy on weaker devices, like phones. If you can't afford an RTX 5090 for your phone, that's on you, buddy!
• On some devices/browsers, some moving overlays (like fog or bubbles) or backgrounds (like clouds) will slowly grow more pixelated over time. Moving to a new room fixes this. If you're on Windows, you can try running the game under a newer/different version of nwjs if you experience this. (I haven't seen this issue with nwjs 0.83.0.)
• Sometimes, if a party member is removed from the party during battle, any status effect icons they had will stick to the top of the screen instead of disappearing.
